Antique Georgian Mahogany Tilt Top Tripod Occasional Table.

This very practical antique mahogany tilt top occasional table dates from around 1800 in the Georgian period. The circular top has been made from a single piece of solid mahogany which benefits from old replacement support bars and period catch enabling it to tilt on a beautifully turned pedestal. The tripod splayed legs sit neatly on pad feet. This very practical and attractive occasional table is very sturdy, a sign of quality in a tilt top table. It is a rich medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
