The top is beautifully figured with a lower moulded edge. This can be lifted, like a lid, to reveal a hidden storage compartment ideal for remote controls! The table stands on four delightfully turned carved legs and is perfectly proportioned to sit at the side of a chair or sofa. Originally designed as a washing facility, this wonderful coffee table could certainly prove to be a talking point amongst ones guests! It is a lovely rich medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
