The top is book matched in beautifully figured rosewood with a generous border of brass inlay reminiscent of George Oakley's design. There is a brass inlaid raised tablet to the frieze and conforming inlay to the base. The reeded turned central stem has a most unusual original brass collar and a gadrooned central boss from which issues four hipped sabre shaped legs terminating in original brass swivel castors. This elegant piece of furniture retains a wonderful rich patina and colour. The whole has been sympathetically restored with a new baize and any loose joints tightened and is ready to place in your home. Excellent condition. Circa 1815. Measures 36"w x 18"d x 28"h
