A really top quality Victorian figured walnut centre table. The table stands on a well carved pedestal base with four legs each with elaborate scrollwork and leaf motifs, the central stem is of baluster shape with beading and reeding. The top has a apron of figured walnut as well as a ogee moulded edge, the top is veneered in a matched quartered pattern with figured black walnut of the most striking design. The whole is of the best quality for it''s period, on cope patent castors which is a sign it was made by a leading manufacturer. The table is in untouched condition, original, and of a wonderful patina, a truly superb example of it''s type. C.1880
