Georgian Gillows Type Mahogany And Marble Side Table

A fine quality George III, mahogany side table, of a style and quality associated with the renowned firm of furniture makers, Gillows of Lancaster. The table is on the typical Gillow’s legs with a long slender deeply fluted leg with turnings to top and bottom, and tapering down to the original solid brass castors. The table has two drawers both oak lined with beautiful flame, Cuban mahogany fronts, cock beading and turned knobs. The top has a double moulded edge into which is the original Carrara marble top. The whole is in excellent condition of good colour and a useful size. C.1810
