Here is a very good quality large antique midsized golden oak English George III tilt top tripod table, circa 1760 - 1780. The top is constructed of four pieces of solid oak. The tilt top table has the original working hinge and brass locking mechanism. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table features a well shaped ring turned pedestal terminating in lovely umbrella shaped legs with the original umbrella shaped feet. This table is original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.

This table is in very good condition. The top and base are original (i.e. they are not a marriage). The working hinges and brass locking mechanism are all in good condition. The brass lock is a very old replacement. Importantly, there are no breaks to the stem or legs, which is common with tripod tables. Nominal old use marks and a slight undulation to the top but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
