Sheraton Period "D" Shaped Card Table

Description

A very fine quality late 18th or very early 19th century Sheraton period FOLD-OVER CARD TABLE in superb condition. The figured "plum-pudding" mahogany top is crossbanded in finest satinwood between boxwood and ebony stringing, and opens to reveal the baize-lined interior.

The frieze below is similarly inlaid with "reserves" simulating panels, whilst pretty satinwood diamond-shaped cartouches can be found at the top of each of the ring-turned solid mahogany tapering legs. 36ins wide; 18ins deep (92cms x 46cms)
