French Farmhouse Table (Seats 6 Easily)

Description

A French farmhouse table made of oak, elm and with what appears to be a chestnut plank top.It has an absolutely lovely colour and patina built up over the years. Dating from the mid 1800's this is a country made table with oak tapered legs and peg tennon joints. It is structurally good with any evidence of old woodworn treated as a precaution. The top has been abused through the years with cracks chips and old nail holes but these just add to the appeal and are insufficient to cause any concern. The table measures 142 cms long by 75 deep and the top is 72 cms from the ground. Knee heigh is 55 cms. This is good enough to seat six with comfort.

There is a central drawer to one of the long sides with a metal pull.
