Table Carved Oak Credence or Console Table 17th Century and Later

Description



Here we have a wonderful carved Oak table. As you can see the table has wonderful colour and patina. There are elements of this table that are 17th century. I am happy to date the central panel to around 1662 as the date on the top would suggest. The panel depicts Palm Sunday. The coat of arms relates to the Osbourne family with their motto Paxim Bello or peace in war. Carved into the back is Lady Bridget Osbourne. The rest of the table is Victorian revival and superbly executed. There are drawers at either end. A wonderful unique rare table exquisitely carved. Of course being period there are some very old dead worm holes but really nothing of concern. The dimensions are approx 37 inches wide 52 high and 12 deep.
