A Regency Mahogany Teapoy or Work Table.

Description

Aa attractive Regency mahogany teapoy or worktable. The sarcofagus shaped box section is unfitted to the interior and has a flat top with ebony edging. Ebony escutcheon to the lock. The box section is correctly and originally mounted to the ring turned and ebonized column which in turn is supported by four swept legs each with barss toe casters. One of the feet has had a repair to the toe section but this is almost unnoticeable. Each leg is inlaid with ebony stringing. In all a most elegant and useful piece.

The measurements are 16 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/4 deep and 29 3/4 inches high.
