The table measures 8ft 4ins long with the 2 leaves. However there is room for a third leaf should you be lucky enough to find timber of this quality. The table is 4 feet wide and stands 29ins high.
I say this table is truly superb because of its total originality.
The table stands on its 4 original patented casters , has the original winding handle and the Chapmans plaque.
Another fine feature of this table is its solid walnut runners. MOst tables of this period have runners made of beech which can sometimes give the 'sagging' effect. This table however is so straight and level , I really feel you could have a game of snooker on it!!
