A William IV Tripod Occasional or Lamp Table

Description

An interesting William IV mahogany and oak tripod table with rimmed reeded edge top. The top is formed such that two flaps fold down supported when up by a rotating loper. The piece is quality constructed 4 distinct parts...the oak tripod base,mahogany acanthus knopped column a further gun barrelled oak column and the mahogany top. All these sections are joined with worm turned joints and are original. The underside is stamped --4 Oxford Street London and with stock number 14659. Research leads me to believe that this relates to Charles Hindley and Son of 64 and latterly 134 Oxford Street but more research needs to be carried out to confirm this.

51 cms dia open and 75 high.
