A highly unusual and fine quality, plum pudding mahogany tea table. The table stands on a pedestal base with four outswept feet terminating in roundel discs and the original brass castors. The central stem consists of four slender columns with ring turnings that give the table a lightness and elegance. The table top has a deep apron with is rounded and polished the whole way round. The top is of wonderfully figured plum pudding mahogany. The table opens out and the top moves backwards by an mechanism underneath, which means the top is then central on the base and if needed the table could be used as a centre table or hall table. The whole is in good condition witha good colour.
