A 19thc Mahogany Library or Writing Table

Description

A 19thC mahognay library or writing table.Double drawers and dummy drawers to the opposing side. Brass pulls and escutcheons. Original brass cup casters to the slender turned legs. The one piece top has some pitting and scratching which is to be expected through useage since its first construction in the 1840's. It is likely that this table was originally used in a library due to its height (see below). Today this makes it very suitable as a writing (computer) table because of the good knee height. Overall a good colour.

Dimensions-: 137 cms wide by 75 deep by 78.5 high. The knee height (ie measurement to the under drawer rail) is 54 cms.
