The table stands on carved bulbous legs and it has a carved >-< stretcher
The carved table base is all made in solid Oak, the table top is veneered in Oak parquetry with a square inlay, this design is very popular in France
The table has two large leaves that draw out from each end on sturdy wooden supports; these are solid but not patterned like the main table top
The table is in very good condition, it has fabulous patination especially the top and stretcher, there are no breaks, splits, loose joints, wobbles. There is surface shading on the table top due to the many years of polishing it has received
This is the sturdiest extending table you will find and this a particularly pretty example
The table is 30” high and 24” under knee height
Closed the table is 52” x 40”
Extended it is 90” x 40”
