Antique Early 17th Century Country Oak Refectory Dining Table C1640 W6561/30.8

17th century
Description

Antique early 17th century country oak refectory table and dating from around the time of charles 1st 1640. It has three original wide planks to the top (originally a drop leaf but now fixed) above a deep skirt with drawer to one end and standing on turned and block legs joined by a deep squared stretcher on small feet. It is hand & peg joined.

Measures: 30" high X 38" X 48.5"

As one would expect the top has slightly warped over time but this only adds to its charm and it is in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period.

Please browse our website www.castleforgeantiques.co.uk for more antique period oak and other quality antique furniture. We have been selling to both the trade and public for 30 years at competitive trade prices. Viewing welcome at our warehouse or queries via email / tel 01423 561334/07884377373

Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
