Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

  • Period19th century
  • SizeH 66 cm (26 in) x W 49 cm (19 in) x D 64 cm (25 in)

This William IV mahogany oval Pembroke table dates from approximately 1830 and follows the classical Regency taste. The piece is constructed from timber displaying rich reddish-brown tones and prominent grain patterns, contrasted with pale satinwood crossbanding, stringing, and light-toned inlay. Details include two shaped drop leaves, a single frieze drawer containing two oval brass drop handles with backplates, and four slender square tapering legs. The top measures 66 cm high by 49 cm wide and 64 cm deep, extending to 91 cm wide when both leaves are raised. In a modern interior, this versatile table serves well as a compact side table, a lamp table in a living room, or an occasional writing desk in a study. The drop leaves allow the surface area to expand when needed for serving or display, making it practical for placement beside a sofa, in a narrow hallway, or against an empty wall where floor space is limited.
