A delicate cabriole leg low boy / side table of good proportion and colour with slender ‘exaggerated’ cabriole legs with discrete ‘hoof’ feet to front and back, edge moulded top and cupid’s bow shaped side panels, in beech with fruitwood drawer fronts.

Restoration / condition : Good overall condition, evidence of historic worm.

This low boy or side table from around 1750 stands in beech with fruitwood drawer fronts, finished in a warm timber colour. The piece has an edge-moulded top above two drawers with small dark round handles, and cupid's bow shaped side panels leading down to slender exaggerated cabriole legs with discrete hoof feet. The structure shows good overall condition with evidence of historic woodworm. It measures 65 cm high, 76 cm wide and 49 cm deep. Such a side table fits well in a hallway, bedroom or living room as a practical surface for everyday items or decorative objects. The modest proportions allow it to sit comfortably against a wall in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
