London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Reeded legs are capped with gilt metal collars and terminate in a fine original castor. They are in stunning order and provide superb patina and depth of colour.

To the front there is fine mahogany, detailed pencil line inlay and cross-banding to the perimeter. Gilt metal trim to the lower moulding is matched by the feature handle set with swan-neck over a pierced backplate.

The top surface is in excellent order and can be lifted and removed to convert a table into a jardiniere. Inside there is a lift out metal tray with full depth sides.
Overall this piece of furniture is in exceptional condition with fine colour. An excellent and unusual antique, beautifully detailed and very versatile.
