This small nineteenth-century French wine tasting vendange table belongs to a rustic or country style interior and originates from a vineyard cellar. The piece features a tilting round fruitwood top with a warm mid-brown timber colour, showing age-related signs of wear, tear, and scars from ancient woodworm, supported by a sturdy oak base with curved bracket feet. The top measures 100 cm by 102 cm with a height of 75 cm, making it compact enough for practical daily use. Originally designed for easy storage, the table stands firmly in a modern home and works well in a kitchen, hallway, or dining area. The tilting mechanism allows the top to fold upright when floor space is at a premium, while the stable trestle-style base keeps the furniture secure. One can use it as a decorative surface for plants or ceramics, or tilt it down for casual dining and social gatherings.
