Pair of Meissen Style Rococo Revival Porcelain Cherub Wall Corbels

A fine and highly decorative pair of Continental porcelain wall corbels in the Meissen style, dating from the early 20th century.

Beautifully modelled as a true left and right pair, each corbel is centred by a seated winged cherub surrounded by an abundance of individually hand-modelled floral sprays and scrolling Rococo ornament, all enhanced with hand-applied gilding and delicate pastel colouring beneath a finely glazed finish. Richly detailed and exceptionally decorative, they retain their original hanging cords and make an attractive addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Presented in good antique condition. A few tiny nibbles to some of the delicate applied flower petals and a handful of very minor chips commensurate with age and the fragile nature of the decoration. They present very well.

Dimensions: Height 21 cm; Width 19 cm; Projection 11 cm.
