Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Beneath, the table is supported by a substantial carved baluster column leading to a striking scrolled tripod base decorated with acanthus carving and retaining its original castors.

The beautifully figured walnut veneers create a dramatic pattern across the top, while the bold pedestal and sweeping tripod legs provide excellent stability and a timeless silhouette. Equally suited as a centre table, reception room table, library table, or statement piece within a hallway, drawing room, or country house interior.
A fine example of Victorian craftsmanship combining quality materials, impressive scale, and elegant design.
