A George II Mahogany Lowboy

A Scottish George II mahogany lowboy attributed to Alexander Peter, the moulded rectangular plum pudding top above a frieze drawer with pierced brackets on off set square tapering legs ending in tassel toes. Circa 1750.
 
This table is made from the finest quality timber and unusually has a finished back so could be used as a centre table.
 
Alexander was a prominent Edinburgh cabinet maker with several high profile clients including Lord Bute at Dumfries House.
