Description

A handsome antique mahogany writing desk of elegant, understated form, raised on square tapering legs with brass castors and joined by a low stretcher. The desk has a pair of drawers to the front with brass swan-neck handles and retains its inset tooled leather writing surface to the top, nicely worn with age and use. A useful and decorative piece, ideal as a writing table, small desk, or console.

CONDITION REPORT:

Overall in good antique condition with age-related wear throughout, including marks, scuffs, and surface wear consistent with use. The leather top is worn and faded in places, which gives it a pleasing aged character. There is a small knock/chip to one leg, as shown in the photographs, along with other minor cosmetic imperfections commensurate with age. Structurally sound and presents well.
