George 111 Mahogany Console Table with Stone Top, C1800, 88cm wide top.
An elegant George 111, late 18th to circa 1800, Cuban mahogany square leg console table with natural sandstone top.
The dark brown, handsomely aged base with chamfered square reeded legs with a plain apron supports a 3cm thick, natural sandstone top measuring 88cm wide, the top is later fitted to the base which may have started life with a mahogany top.
A superbly stylish Georgian console table of considerable decorative appeal and versatile use within a dayroom or hallway, landing or bedroom etc.., the base has just been through our workshop for minimal conservation, showing an excellent colour.
The table is supported by bold square legs which compliment the 3cm thick stone, a very nice piece in very good condition.
