Mortlake stoneware refers to salt-glazed ceramic items produced at the Mortlake pottery in Surrey, England, during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The pottery produced functional vessels such as ale pitchers and punch bowls decorated with applied relief motifs.

These pitchers were thrown from dense clay and fired at high temperatures. During firing, common salt was introduced into the kiln, producing a durable, pitted surface finish known as salt glaze, often paired with molded sprigged decorations.
