Description

Superb early 19th Century French 'bureau plat' or library table, inlaid with kingwood and sycamore.

With an elaborate geometric marquetry design and decorated with fine ormolu mounts. The top inset with a leather writing surface flanked by panels of parquetry and edged with a chased ormolu surround. Below there is a central drawer within the shaped apron which is raised on elegant cabriole legs with chased ormolu mounts.
