Superb Quality Regency Mahogany Tea Table c.1820 with unusual U-shaped support & pineapple finial. Quatrefoil base with scrolling, fluted, swept legs terminating in brass castor caps & wheels. Turned, beaded decoration to the frieze & finial pedestal. Beautiful figured solid mahogany top with inlaid mahogany cross-banding. Top unfolds & rotates so that it is supported on the frieze when open. Interior of the top also inlaid with mahogany banding. Central & corner cartouches to the frieze veneered in flame mahogany. A beautifully designed & superbly made example in excellent original condition.
