Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

William IV furniture (c. 18301837) represents the stylistic transition between Regency and early Victorian design. It is characterised by substantial proportions, turned stretchers, carved motifs, and the prominent use of rich hardwoods like rosewood and mahogany.

19th-century work and sewing tables were commonly constructed using solid mahogany or rosewood veneers over pine or oak frames. Features often included hand-dovetailed drawer linings, brass keyhole escutcheons, turned stretchers, and brass castors.

Authentic pieces display period-correct features such as hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, original turned timber knobs, decorative scroll supports, turned cross-stretchers, and early brass castors beneath stylized feet.

A dark rosewood work table functions effectively as an accent piece alongside a modern sofa or armchair, serving as a lamp table or bedside stand to add historical contrast to modern living spaces.

Maintain rosewood by wiping gently with a dry microfibre cloth and applying a clear beeswax polish once or twice per year. Keep the table away from direct sunlight and radiators to prevent timber shrinkage or finish degradation.
