Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
This period oak antique table base has four tapering legs with stretchers to support the heavy oak table top. To the inside of each legs and the top edge of the connecting stretchers are unusual chamfered decorations. All in super, solid condition and the period oak is a lovely pale and natural scrubbed out finish. Rare to find English tables this early and in such good condition, dates to around 1640.
