A beautiful late 18th or early 19th century large blue and white delft charger with a repeating swirled floral pattern around a central floral design. The plate has some damage, so please read the condition report, but despite this I think it''s one of the most attractive delft plates we’ve had.
Condition: The plate has a large chip to the edge, and has a couple of hairline cracks running from the centre out to the edge (these are easier to see from the rear). There hasn’t been any repair attempted to these, but the plate feels solid, though personally I wouldn’t risk hanging it on a wall in case the means of mounting it put any strain on the cracks.
