A George 111 Satinwood and Rosewood, Demi Lune Card Table, Hepplewhite Period
A very fine quality late 18th century, George 111 card table of elegant design and detail, a George Hepplewhite eta table.
The stylish demi-lune or rectangular, fold over satinwood card table features a rosewood inlaid and banded top over plain banded frieze and tapering square legs that terminate at spade feet.
The top opens to reveal its original burgandy baize, operated with original brass hinges and a knuckle joint gate leg back leg to support the extended top.
We have just consigned to our workshop for an even wax polish and tightening of any loose joints or veneer, very original and presents very well.
A superbly stylish example with a fold-over top revealing a burgundy baize, in mostly all-over very condition, no holes or tears but some evidence of timeworn age but minimal wear, the photos are a true and authentic account of its condition.
