Large Pottery Water Filter Urn

19th century
Description

Circa 1870. Unusual and stylish pottery filter. The conical shaped urn, with the collar embossed with flowers and the front with a royal coat of arms 'Royal Filter 'with the royal coat of arms beneath with further strapping with ‘George Robbins, Patent, The Strand London'. Highly decorated with faux lifting handles in pottery with heads, the flared base with a small aperture for a tap, the freestanding urn in great style with swags and urns and tails and shells throughout–highly decorated, would make a great plant pot.
