In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The glazed top opens to reveal a blue velvet lined interior and the table stands on elegant square tapering legs joined by a lower shelf with further floral painted decoration. It comes with a working key.
It is a very pretty and delicate piece with a lovely rich patina and colour. It is in good condition for its age and the interior is generally clean and tidy. There are of course signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks, some slight lifting to some veneer around the inside edge and a couple of old repairs to the lower shelf but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
