Description

A good example of a smart rosewood library table dating from the early 19th Century. The top has a moulded edge with two flush concealed drawers below. It stands on shaped end supports joined by a delicate turned stretcher and it has impressive carved lions paw feet with small castors.

It is a good quality piece and is beautifully finished on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.

It is in good condition for its age with a lovely rich colour. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and stains on the top surface and some light knocks around the base but nothing untoward. There is a small old shrinkage split in the top surface (see photo) but it isn't detrimental and the table still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
