Mahogany Coffee Table with Painted & Gilded Column C.1930

Description

Good looking French 19th.c. style gueridon coffee table c.1930. 39" diameter top in solid mahogany, the timbers cut and joined so the grain makes symmetrical pattern. Over a lovely turned column with crisp acanthus carving painted in gold against the dark green ground. Raised on a tricorn plinth, veneered and crossbanded, and carved claw feet also in green. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
