Rushbrooke ( Smithfield) Ltd, it dates to around 1900-10 and feature superb original black Pure Butter lettering to the front and with cut away hand holds to each side. originally would have been used in an English grocers shop to display large slabs of butter which were then cut off and sold in smaller portions, wrapped in brown paper. Very rare to find an antique Pure Butter slab in such great condition with no crazing, chips or damage.
