Early 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1820. Well figured 37½'' diameter grey marble top with a raised moulded edge of concentric rings designed to stop spilt liquids from running over the sides. With a slim flame mahogany veneered apron below. On a flared tricorn base with slightly concave curved sides in matched flame mahogany veneers. Raised on paw feet with Egyptian inspired papyrus detail. Some light scratches to the marble, and previous repairs and restorations to the pedestal. Missing the tips of the paws on two of the feet. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
