FAQs

A Victorian rosewood coffee table is a low-profile occasional table crafted during the 19th century, typically featuring rich timber grains, polished finishes, and traditional carved supports.

These pieces were predominantly constructed from dense hardwoods like solid rosewood or mahogany, frequently utilising hand-turned wooden components and traditional joinery techniques.

Authentication involves examining the timber grain, hand-cut joinery marks, traditional patina, and the construction methods typical of 19th-century cabinet making.

Pairing historical timber tables with contemporary seating creates a balanced aesthetic, grounding the room while adding warmth and texture through natural wood.

Maintain antique timber by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth, and occasionally applying appropriate beeswax.
