A delightful carved circular side table crafted by Japanese fishermen, imported and retailed by Liberty and Co around 1905 in the ‘ Eastern Bazaar ‘ section of their shop in Regent Street London ( see the copy of their catalogue showing similar items)

In excellent original condition with a plain top and undertier with a carved lotus leaf pattern around the edges and with carved splayed legs

Measures 18 inches in diameter and 27 inches high

A really elegant piece of furniture that would grace a period or contemporary setting as a lamp table or for a large display of flowers
