Elegant Walnut Regency Style Sofa Table

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a really super quality early 20th century walnut sofa table in outstanding condition dating from around 1920.

The fine table has a very elegant design with inverse swept and convex shaped frieze housing three useful drawers that are lined with solid oak. The table top has a bookmatched walnut veneered surface with a wonderful figured grain and crossbanding detail that gives a great decorative effect.

The drawers are line inlaid in satinwood with the central drawer having a lovely burr walnut veneer panel.

This has attractive reeded splay legs with turned central stretcher and is raised on elegant good quality brass paw feet and castors.

The table measures 102 cms wide with the leaves down, 154 cms overall when opened. 60 cms in depth by 73 cms in height.
