Outstanding Victorian Edwards and Roberts Satinwood Table C1880

Here we have a truly outstanding Victorian Sheraton style Satinwood table by Edwards and Roberts c1880. As you can see the table has wonderful colour and patina. The table is in time warp condition as were the other items from this private residence. The oval top has a crossbanded and string inlaid edge. The hand painted polychrome decoration is of the finest quality and the best we have seen. There is a shallow frieze also painted and the top of the legs form break fronts around the frieze. The legs are also painted on the outside and insides. The paintings on the legs celeverly graduate in accordsance with the legs taper. There is a stunningly shaped undertier shelf and the legs have tapered ends for feet. There are remanants of the Edwards and Robers label to the underside and an example photographed. A truly remarkable table in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 70 cm high 51 cm wide 34 cm deep.
