Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. FAQs

A drum table is a type of circular library table featuring a deep frieze fitted with alternating functional and dummy drawers, historically used for storing books, stationery, and writing implements in stately homes.

These tables are traditionally constructed from dense cabinet timbers such as mahogany or rosewood, often featuring rich grain veneers, solid turned central pillars, brass drawer pulls, and concealed castors.

Authentic pieces are identified by period-correct construction methods including hand-cut dovetail joints in the drawers, natural timber shrinkage, patination consistent with age, and traditional joinery rather than modern fixings.

An antique drum table functions effectively as a centre table in a hallway or as a lamp table in a living room, contrasting classical timber warmth with contemporary upholstery and minimalist decor.

Maintain rosewood by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent veneer cracking, applying natural beeswax periodically, and dusting gently with a dry microfibre cloth.
