A beautiful quality piece of fossiliferous black marble tops this circular guéridon table, which dates to the 19th century and originates from France.
- White and coloured inclusions in the black marble are leaf shaped and may be small shells.
- Removable marble top has a moulded edge with multiple ridges.
- Lion paw feet to the tripod base, with castors beneath.
- Attractively shaped hexagonal sided column support.
- Carved scrolling on the tripod base.
This is a relatively small and low circular table, at slightly less than a metre in diameter, so this will make a lovely lamp table or a display surface for decorative objects.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are no chips or nibbles to the marble.
