Description

A smart and very well made antique William IV mahogany leather top desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-40 period.

It is of superb quality and is a useful size. This has an lovely inset leather top with tooled edges, it stands on nicely turned and carved legs terminating in brass casters. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. The three drawers have turned mahogany handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there. There is one small nick to the leather which has been repaired and polished over, barely noticeable but seen in the close up images.
