A George III (C.1770) Mahogany Fold-out Tea Table

Description

A late 18th century (George III period) mahogany Tea Table with a hinged rectangular top, and moulded edges. There is a drawer to the front with brass swing handle and cockbeaded edges. The square section legs descend from open fretwork brackets at the top, to block feet at the base. The two rear legs fold outwards to provide support for the top when opened. Swinging back into a central (almost tripod) position when the lid is closed.

Dimensions: Height: 28.75 inches (73 cm). Width: 32 inches (81 cm). Depth (closed): 15.75 inches (40 cm).
