Description

Superb Victorian mahogany library partner's desk in much the same manner and style as Gillows. It's rectangular top has a fine thumbnail moulded edging and rounded corners with a burgundy gold-tooled leather inserted writing surface. The frieze houses 3 working drawers on both sides with turned mahogany bun handles. All mahogany lined drawers run smooth, constructed with fine dove-tail joints and have brass locks and escutcheons. Raised on four reeded tapering legs terminating on original brass cupped castors. This is a solid desk in excellent antique condition with rich colouration and patina. This stylish desk will be the perfect addition to any office.
