Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The back leg extending out to support the table top. The top with deep mellow patina, originally a tea table but would make a wonderful desk or side table.

Solid and sturdy. The back leg has a replacement cross support and has been glued/fixed at some point (solid). Handles are later replacements.
