We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Edwardian furniture, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often combined lighter woods, delicate proportions, and neoclassical revival motifs inspired by Sheraton and Hepplewhite designs.

These desks were typically constructed from solid mahogany or satinwood, frequently enhanced with intricate decorative stringing, crossbanding, and contrasting wood marquetry inlay.

Authenticity is assessed by examining traditional joinery such as hand-cut dovetails on the drawer boxes, patination of the wood, brass hardware fixings, and period-appropriate internal timber construction.

An antique writing table can function as a standalone workspace or console, pairing effectively with minimalist modern seating to create a balanced contrast between historical craftsmanship and contemporary decor.

To preserve antique mahogany, keep the piece away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent timber warping, and maintain the finish by applying natural beeswax periodically.
