Unusual mid 19th.c. French Empire style mahogany and marble top console table c.1860. Original serpentine shaped white marble top with projecting front corners. On a mahogany veneered base, the shaped apron featuring applied acanthus leaf carvings. Raised on superb scrolling front supports, the upper portion carved as swan's heads. Over the original mirror glass back panel within a shaped surround and open plinth. Shaped front and sides to the plinth, raised on low turned bun feet. Obvious tarnish to the mirror which could be easily replaced if preferred. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
